Visit No.1 Royal Crescent and experience our immersive Christmas tour which brings the house to life.
Visit this special house at Christmas, see the rooms dressed for the festival season and enjoy the traditions and celebrations of a Georgian Christmas told through stories and poems throughout the house as part of our immersive experience.
12 Tales of a Georgian Christmas is an immersive experience that runs on a timed loop. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your ticket slot, to ensure you do not miss any of your experience.
We recommend that you purchase a guide book or access the free museum guide app to support your visit, available to download beforehand or at the door when you arrive.
Please note that this experience runs from 16th Nov to 31st Dec during normal museum opening hours. If you wish to book admission tickets for other dates you will need to go back a page and select 'Georgians At Home' or 'Jane Austen in Bath'.
We have a variety of options for group visits, so for all group bookings please review our dedicated webpage and contact us at no1royalcrescent@bptrust.org.uk or call 01225 428126 for more information.
Tickets
It is advised you pre book your tickets to ensure your preferred time slot. For tickets on the day, please head to the museum to request a ´walk in´ slot. Please note on the day tickets are not available online.
Please be aware that by purchasing a ticket, you are giving permission for us to contact you with our evaluation survey. We will not contact you for any other purpose unless agreed by you.
Concessions
Concession tickets are available for seniors (65+), students, NHS workers and Blue Light card holders with valid ID.
Bath Preservation Trust Member tickets
These are available but we would ask members to consider purchasing a ticket to support the museum at this time to secure our future. If you do opt for a free pre-booked BPT member ticket during opening hours, please ensure you bring your membership card with you to validate this when you visit.
Annual Passes
Please retain your ticket receipt as this is to be used as proof of purchase for your annual pass. If you lose your receipt we are not able to reissue these or allow free admission to the museum.
Annual passes are non-transferable. If you are returning on a valid annual pass please select the appropriate ticket and ensure that you bring this with you.
Discovery Card Holders
We offer a 15% discount to Discovery Card holders. Use the code DISCOVERY24 upon check out. You must bring your valid Discovery Card with you when you visit to validate your museum ticket.
Artfund Members
We offer a 50% discount to Artfund members. If you have not been supplied with your discount code by the Artfund, then please call us on 01225 428126. You must bring your valid National Art Pass with you when you visit to validate your museum ticket.
Consider adding Gift Aid to your ticket
Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - which helps us continue to run our museum. An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to Bath Preservation Trust.
Visitor information
We welcome walk in visitors . Visitors are encouraged to pre-book and attend at their specified time slot, arriving on time to help avoid queues outside the museum – if you would like a guidebook, we allow time to purchase this as part of your welcome to the museum.
We operate a one way route with three flights of stairs up and four flights of narrow winding stairs down. Please ensure you can manage these steps before booking or contact us to arrange for an accessible tour.
If you will be visiting with a carer, please book just your ticket and a free of charge carer ticket. Your carer will be allowed in with you.
We have limited access for wheelchair users and due to the fact we are a historic house, not all areas can be accessed. Visits for wheelchair users will be supported by our team. Please contact us before booking, if you require this assistance and / or visit the accessibility page of our website: https://no1royalcrescent.org.uk/accessibility-info/
We are running a family trail and will provide sheets you can keep.
Visitors who arrive after their start time may not be admitted and refunds are not available for late attendees.
Visitors will enter the museum using the main door to the house, to the left of the shop entrance.
The shop is open but separate to the museum route. You can visit the shop before or after your visit and the entrance is to the right of the museum.
BPT reserves the right to close the museum at short notice. If BPT cancel the event, ticket holders will be informed and can either visit on another date or receive a full refunded.
