Visit No.1 Royal Crescent and experience our immersive tours which bring the house to life.
Georgians at Home
Our primary immersive experience runs from 2 Feb - 9 Nov during normal opening hours and not on dates when 'Jane Austen in Bath' runs, see below. This experience allows you to meet a family who are in Bath for the season. As you move through the rooms of the house you will eavesdrop on their day, finding out how they lived in the Georgian city, issues and challenges of the day as well as details about Bath. You will also meet the servants and understand the different lives they led.
The ‘Georgians at Home’ experience features sensitive stories relating to the transatlantic slave trade as the source of much wealth in the City at that time. This content is told within the context of the time rather than from our contemporary viewpoint, so some visitors may find this upsetting. Staff will support anyone wanting to pause their visit.
Jane Austen in Bath
Our 'Jane Austen in Bath' experience runs on the last Friday of each month; 28 Feb, 28 Mar, 25 Apr. 30 May, 27 Jun, 25 Jul, 29 Aug, 26 Sept and 24 Oct. 'Jane Austen in Bath' also runs for the duration of the Jane Austen Festival, 12 to 21 Sept.
12 Tales of a Georgian Christmas
Our '12 Tales of a Georgian Christmas' experience runs from 22 Nov - 4 Jan 2026 during normal museum opening hours. If you wish to book tickets on any of these dates you will need to go back a page and select '12 Tales of a Georgian Christmas'.
The experiences run on a timed loop and guide you through the house. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your ticket slot, to ensure you do not miss any of your experience.
We recommend that you purchase a guide book or access our free museum guide app, Bloomberg Connects, to support your visit, available to download beforehand or when you arrive.
We have a variety of options for group visits, for all group bookings please review our dedicated webpage and contact us at no1royalcrescent@bptrust.org.uk or call 01225 428126 for more information.
Tickets
It is advised you pre book your tickets to secure your preferred time slot. We welcome walk in visitors. For tickets on the day, please head to the museum to request a ´walk in´ slot. Please note on the day tickets are not available online.
Please be aware that by purchasing a ticket, you are giving permission for us to contact you with our evaluation survey. We will not contact you for any other purpose unless agreed by you.
Concessions
Concession tickets are available for seniors (65+), students, NHS workers, Blue Light card holders, those receiving universal credit and job seekers allowance, on the production of valid proof / ID.
Bath Preservation Trust Member tickets
These are available but we would ask members to consider purchasing a ticket to support the museum at this time to secure our future. If you do opt for a free pre-booked BPT member ticket during opening hours, please ensure you bring your membership card with you to validate this when you visit.
Annual Passes
Please retain your ticket receipt as this is to be used as proof of purchase for your annual pass. If you lose your receipt we are not able to reissue these or allow free admission to the museum.
Annual passes are non-transferable. If you are returning on a valid annual pass please select the appropriate ticket and ensure that you bring this with you. Please also bring ID to verify that you are the named annual pass holder.
Discovery Card Holders
We offer a 25% discount to Discovery Card holders. Use the code DISCOVERY25 upon check out. You must bring your valid Discovery Card with you when you visit to validate your museum ticket.
