Solar Observing: Summer Solstice 21st Ju

Solar Observing 60 minute session with the Bath Astronomers , 21st June 2021, sessions running from 10am to 5pm.

Session must be pre-booked, one ticket per session, which allows entry for up to 6 people.

Visit the Herschel Museum of Astronomy to take part in daytime solar astronomy with the Bath Astronomer's on the day of the summer solstice, from the very garden the Planet Uranus was discovered from in 1781.

Session 1: 10am to 11am

Session 2: 11.30am to 12.30pm

Session 3: 1pm to 2pm

Session 4: 2.30pm to 3.30pm

Session 5: 4pm to 5pm

Visitor Information - Covid 19 safety

- Visitors are required to pre-book tickets and arrival slot in advance. On arrival please wait by the front door and keep a safe distance, you will be welcomed by staff at your booking time.

- Visitors are required to wear a face covering unless exempt.

- Hand sanitiser for use on arrival and exit of museum.

- The team onsite will be regularly cleaning throughout the day, paying special attention to astronomy equipment, chairs, door handles, bannisters, light switches.

- The team will be wearing PPE and will make sure they are at least 1+ metres away from you. Please help us by adhering to current social distancing guidelines.

- Your name and number will be requested or you can use the NHS track and trace app.

- Please do not attend if anyone in your group has Covid-19 symptoms.

- Please advise us by phone or email if anyone develops Covid-19 symptoms during the session or soon afterwards. Our contact details are on our website.
