Join expert model maker, Jess Wright, to create your own customised street sign.
The workshop will explore the methods and techniques used by model makers to create a unique 1:20 scale model using different materials. Whether you are interested in creative careers, architecture, miniatures, or just love crafting, this is a fun way to learn new skills and create something beautifully small. The workshop also links to the KS2/KS3 Art Curriculum, learning about shape/form/tone/texture/pattern and culture, using a range of techniques and media to increase proficiency in the handling of different materials and improving mastery of art and design techniques with a range of materials.
All materials included. No experience necessary. Refreshments will be available.
This will be a very relaxed workshop, suitable for all abilities with support and guidance to achieve a beautiful model to take home and display.
Duration of workshop 1 ½ hours.
Suitable for 12 years old and above.

About the Artist
Jess Wright(@small_but_wrighty) is a professional artist and facilitator who has previously worked as a designer and prop maker in theatre and TV. Jess studied Fine Art at Plymouth University and Theatre Design at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and now works as an arts facilitator and her own freelance model making practice.
