Join BPT and guest architects to explore the reinvention and retrofit of listed buildings.

Klas Hayllen (KHA) Architizer Best Young Firm (Special Mention) will talk about his design approach for The Vintners - a project that converted a listed grade II wine warehouse in Bradford on Avon into a family home. The project carefully balanced the retention of the warehouse's character with bold contemporary insertions,  a strategy around air-tightness, breathability, MVHR and thermal mass whilst carefully insulating. KHA have worked with a number of existing homes over the years with a strong focus on high quality design, spatial generosity and careful material selection. Their projects have a high focus on sustainability in the retrofit spirit which has developed into a signum of what they do. Klas Hyllén Architecture (klashyllen.com)
