Portraiture with Artist Libby Dillon
Create a portrait study using oil paint.
During the oil painting class we’ll create a small oil study working from a part of a face. You will work from your own photograph so feel free to bring some along on a screen or printed out. You will learn how to mix oil paint and build layers of paint in an alla prima (wet-on-wet) style. Please bring apron or old shirt to wear over clothes. All materials included. No experience of oil painting necessary.
This will be a very relaxed workshop, suitable for all abilities and the final painting will be suited to your painting level.
Duration of workshop 2 hours.
What's included? All materials will be provided but if you would prefer to bring your own materials then please do. A glass of wine or non-alcoholic alternative is included in the price. Tea and coffee will be available.
Suitable for 16 years old and above.
Concession price available (Seniors 65+, Student, NHS, Blue Light)
Note: The workshop space is accessible via lift. If you have any access needs please let us know so we can support you in any way possible.
