What
made Isaac Newton a world famous scientist and did that apple really fall on
his head?!



Join
us on an interactive time travelling adventure with Sir Isaac Newton himself!
Coming to us live from his office on a wintery day in 1726, Isaac is sorting
out all of his letters, remembering his incredible life and work as a world
famous scientist, mathematician and astronomer and he’s ready to answer your
questions! On this video call, you’ll have a chance to learn about Isaac’s
amazing discoveries and ask him your own questions about his life, science or
even the world today.




This
one man show about Sir Isaac Newton is performed by the author, Professor
Mike Edmunds.

All
participants will need access to a device with a camera and internet
access. Participants will receive an email with a Zoom invite 24 hours
before the event.

FAQs



How many tickets do I need?


One
per household. You will be sent an individual Zoom link and everyone in your
household that will fit around the screen can enjoy. If you have friends of
family living elsewhere they will need a separate ticket.



When and how can I access the Zoom link?


You
will be sent a clickable Zoom link 24 hours before the show as well as
instructions on how to use Zoom.



Who is the show for?


This
show is for families with primary or lower secondary-aged children. Zoom
accounts must be set up by a responsible adult and we request that an over 18
is present at all times in line with Zoom regulations. It is an
educational show, so could be enjoyed as part of a home schooling lesson, or
just for fun.



Will the show be interactive?


You
will have regular opportunities to ask Isaac Newton questions throughout the
show using the Q&;A feature on Zoom, question times will be managed by
a member of the museum team. Please note that we might not have time for all
questions depending on the number of questions and show timing. All
participants will be automatically muted and particpant cameras will be off throughout the show.

Will the performer be talking to the audience for the
full duration?



A
member of the museum team will also be interacting with Isaac Newton throughout
the show, and may use the share screen feature to share images on screen for
Isaac to respond to.



Will I need anything else to enjoy the show?


No,
everything will happen via your screen. There will however be some online
activities on the family fun page of our website for you to explore after the
show if you wish.
